Super Sleep Out

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
If you cannot join us on the night then there are various opportunities available for corporate sponsorship so why not get your company to get involved as part of their CSR policy:
  • Sponsor a cardboard box £100. This will provide one large cardboard box for a person to sleep in on the night, and will be branded with your company name and logo
  • Sponsor refreshments £500.  A bowl of soup will be provided at the start and hot drinks will be available throughout the night, plus a bacon roll and coffee in the morning
  • Purchase a sleeping bag £50.  It can be used on the night and then donated to the rough sleepers CHESS work with in 8 districts
  • Make a donation for a sleeping bag £50. If you are not participating you can still provide a sleeping bag for another person which will be donated to the homeless after the event
  • General sponsorship £200. We will advertise your contribution in the weeks leading up to the event on our social media channels and to participants.
ON THE NIGHT
  • Welcome Desk will be open from 8.00pm
  • There will be a fun game of cricket in the sport hall for anyone who wants to take part – you never know who might join us from the Essex Cricket Team?
  • We will provide a bowl of hot soup and then be off to our ‘beds’ at about 10pm on the cold, hard concrete of the stands.
  • At 7am there will be a bacon roll and hot drink before you set off, although there are showers available if you wanted to use them,

You will need to bring:

Sleeping Bag, Bed Roll or Cardboard to sleep on (all cardboard must be removed when you leave please)

Warm Clothes (to resist the weather)

Please do not bring anything of value as we cannot be responsible for lost or broken items. A full Information Pack will be sent to you upon registration.

ABOUT BOTH CHARITIES

  • CHESS Homeless seeks to ensure that people who find themselves homeless are supported in ways that enable them to move forward purposefully and in good health. CHESS has bedspaces for up to 60 residents across 12 properties providing temporary accommodation, 1-1 support, mental health & wellbeing courses, and can also guide to other external agencies as required.
  • Essex Cricket Foundation works to develop cricketers and enhance the cricket environment in Essex.  Money raised by The Essex Cricket Foundation is spent on delivering a variety of different programmes to ensure people from all sorts of backgrounds have the opportunity to experience the sport. Funds are spent on providing disability cricket, supporting Women & Girls initiatives as well as street programmes in urban areas across the County. From assisting Clubs at grassroots level to assisting the next Alastair Cook along the cricketing pathway, we are helping to ensure that Cricket is continued to be played for many generations to come.
